El secreto de la señora

 Two young girls of humble status are hired as maids in a mansion, where an extravagant and despotic lady lives who educates them. Everything changes with the arrival of a strange man in the house.

Initiated and shot during the last months of the dictatorship of General Alfredo Stroessner, it was conceived as an allegation against the corruption, perversion and totalitarianism that dominated the country. Like the original story, the script was inspired by real cases recorded by the international press.
 
The project of "The Secret of the Lady" was originally thought of as a television miniseries. When it acquired Channel 9 in Asunción, it broadcast it for the whole country in three chapters, becoming the first miniseries of Paraguayan television.

The miniseries was transformed into a feature film by being specially invited to the XI International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana. It was the first time that a Paraguayan film participated in that and other international festivals. It was sold to the video and television market in Uruguay and Argentina.
