Based on Darcy Ribeiro's origins, the course of history, major concerns and problems, and different points of view and dilemmas. In his last book -The Brazilian People - he highlights the need for a general review of our socio-cultural roots, examining them in a broad and intimate manner. After all, who are the Brazilians? How did the symbolic and genetic blending process take place? How were the various cultural regions and multiple "Brazils" formed? We want to present these questions to the general public, which is the core of social and historical constitution. The film also includes interviews with Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Antônio Cândido and Tom Zé.
